1.) Ventilation system
The ventilation system is fully installed and
commissioned by ZVVZ. The official handover to ST/CV was 20/2/03. The unit is
operational. It will be switch on then the clean room has been cleaned.

2.) Floor
The floor has been polished an leveled. All
panels have been fixed against support beams. The antistic floor and grounding
strips have been laminated on. All floor mats are glued and sealed.

3.) Detection incendie
all safety detection sensors are installed. all
smoke sniffer pipes are installed and connected.
Smoke sensors are installed inside the clean
room (2 pipes along the room) and below the flase floor (3 pipes along the
building)
The installation for the safety system has been
finished. The system will be connected to TCR and fire brigade in 1 week.
The installation is finished.
4.) Emergency smoke extraction
(see pictures)
The installation of airducts and extraction
units is completed. The smoke extraction will be electrically connected within
the next two week.
The site was visited by the firebrigade. Smoke
extraction and the installed detection incendie will be tested with a smoke
test by the firebrigade and TIS in the clean room before the clean room is
cleaned out (approx 3 wks).
5.) Walls
All
installation of clean room , control room , laser room walls is finished. This
includes joint covers, blinds and grids. This work by Schulthess is finished
6.) Clean
room
A few damaged panels have been removed and new
panels have been installed. Lights in the clean room are installed. All floor
work in the clean room is finished. The remaining items for the clean rooms are
the installation of AC outlet and network outlets.

8.) Electricity installation
(see pictures below)
At the moment 3 persons work continuously in SR1
on the electricity installation. Priority is given to assembly area and test
area (in order to close clean room as soon as possible).
The rack electricity installation (canalis rail
system ) has be finished by friday
The installation of lights in assembly/test area
is finished. Lights in the laser room still need to be done.
The main transformer station for our
installation (dry transformer) has been delivery and installed in place at the
rear of the building. The transformer is connected and operational.
The high power wiring from the transformer
station to the distribution is finished.
The electrical distribution to the ventilation
is finished and runs.
The installation and execution plan for the
installation of cable trays in the clean room is ready. Their installation has
to wait until all other work on electricity is finished and has to be planned
separately with ST/EL.
1 UPS has already been moved to SR1, the other
one will be moved during the next two weeks. After installation both UPS will
be inpected for operation by Siemens.
The remaining work is: finish distribution, installation
of AC outlet, some remaining lights, installation of UPS and grounding of wall
panels, antistatic floor connections and connection to the smoke extraction.
The remaining work is estimated to take another 3 weeks.
A site visit was done on 21/2/03 to clarify open
question regarding the installation of the net work cables. The fibre
connection arrived. The installation work on the network cable is scheduled to
start March 15.
10.) Other items
Door locks:
most door locks are installed. the lock for the
double door to the rack area needs to be installed. At present 2 keys are
available (contact R. Fortin, H. Pernegger). Remaining door frames/wings will be stored in Bat 175.
