Meeting SR 27-Nov 2002

Discussion on services routing in SR

Minutes

Service installation:

Richard proposal was found ok. It details the number and size of cable trays and their location.
The trays will be fixed by metal strips on the main upper support beam.
All trays will start above the diffusers.
Depending on confirmation by ST, we propose to have the installation done by Schultess, which are currently mounting the wall panels of the clean room. We would ask them to
= install the metal strips to support trays and pipes
= install the cable trays
= install the clips for pipes

We will supply all necessary material for the installation.
Richard will prepare an inventory for quotation and material cost estimate and order parts if ok. This includes a layout plan which can be used by Schultess for installation

Heinz will check with ST if this work can be done by Schultess, and arrange for possible time slots.

Preparation for pipes:

we will mount clips that allow a simple installation of pipes without further drilling in the wall.
The evap cooling system pipes (with insulation) will be laid in trays. The actual pipes for gas can be installed later.

Evaporative cooling system:

It was proposed by Michel Bosteels to have a simpler distribution with all manifolding inside the thermal enclosure. This would significantly simplify the cooling system. For the final system this means 4 entry points of cooling services (one each corner of the ID trolley, 2 entry points for ECs)

Each entry point will have one assembly of heat exchanger and heater, which is _part of the ID trolley and service support_ . This part needs to be implemented into the service support and temporary enclosure during the tests.

This needs to be clarified for mechanical constraints with Marco, Eric and Andrea.
